Club member Michael Jenkins’ latest Runher race took place around a blustery Titanic quarter on Sunday. As is the tradition now with these popular races hundreds turned up to race.
Our first finisher in the 10k race was Fiona McQuillan in 5th place recording 42:41, Julie Balmer one place behind in 6th with a time of 43:18. There were other ND entrants in the 10k including Stephanie Walker, Joanne Harris and Valerie Blayney – unfortunately teams weren’t recorded on the results.
The 5k race saw Jessica Craig ease to victory in 17:55, 5 seconds clear of 2nd, and Rachel Gibson in 3rd, 18:31, who had made it a double podium weekend after finishing 2nd at Rostrevor the day earlier. Jodi Smith completed in 19:03 to finish 5th. 3 North Down runners in the top 5.
