After the first day of competition at Grangemouth in the Scottish U20 Heptathlon Championship, Katie Hewitt was in second place on 2144 points. Her results were 100m hurdles 13.61 sec, 641 points; high jump 1.41m,523; shot 6.74m,318; 200m 27.61 secs, 662. She held this position on the second day to finish second with 3701 points. Her second day results were long jump 4.97m, 551 points; javelin 23.71m, 358; and 800m 2:33.62, 648.Exam commitments prevented Katie doing the Northern Ireland Heptathlon Championships but her score at Grangemouth puts her top of the rankings.
