Other clubs didn"t seem interested but for the four North Down runners it was too just good to miss. There was space in the YAL programme for a senior 800m race, officials and timekeepers were there, it was a training night anyway and conditions at Mary Peters Track were just about perfect. Jordan Neil blasted , James Budde chased, John Carlisle and Niall Robinson hung on. Jordan and James got pb"s of 1:56.3 and 1:57.2 min, John had a seasons best of 1:59.5 while Niall lost it slightly at the finish for 2:02.3 but was left mean and hungry for the weekend.
