This week’s race was attended by Cara Jeffrey, John Adgey and Peter McQuillan and their task was to climb the 3rd highest mountain in the Mournes, Binnian.
The race was uphill only, 5k and 750m of ascent to the mountain summit. Zak Hanna, Newcastle AC & International mountain runner ranked 37th in world finished the race in first place 22.09.
Cara 40.14 (138th) Peter 40.21 (139th) John 49.28 (203rd & 1st in M75 age cat).
No race next Thursday, Slieve Donard race on Saturday 14th May followed by Rocky in the quieter Western Mournes on Thursday 19th May.
